(07/01/24) Our first boat match of 2024 was dominated by whiting, with Rob Walker landing the heaviest fish at 1lb 12oz. A few dogfish made up the rest of the weights.

(15/07/23) Our July match was moved to Selsey East beach after gusting 60-70mph winds were forecast. Just four brave souls made the trip. Two undulate rays were caught before conditions ended the match early.
(21/05/23) It was a very breezy start for our 'Bream Only' match but there was a decent number of fish biting with over 130lb in weight landed on the day, as well as a few snap-offs from hounds !!!
(06/05/23) The May match was fished in Stokes Bay with the majority of anglers making the walk to Gilkicker point. The dogfish kept coming throughout the night with 55 caught in total between the 10 anglers taking part.
(30/04/23) It was a nice day for our April trip and there were a few hounds caught as well as a few other species. Paul Bray landed the biggest fish of the day with a hound of 10lb 14oz.
(29/01/23) First trip of 2023 and Adrian Carter landed this dab on the first drop, to follow his first cast dab from the Eastney beach match a weekend earlier. Strap congers kept everyone busy for the rest of the day.
(04/12/22) Our final trip of the year started out cold and rough but improved through the day. Dogs & whiting were the order of the day right up until the last hour which saw a flurry of rays including this fine 21lb blonde for Paul Bray .

(15/11/22) It was a busy night for our November beach match (12th) with constant bites resulting in 103 sizeable fish being caught. The big ones eluded us, but were out there, as proved by the remains of what would have been the best whiting of the night !!
(07/11/22) The November boat match was called off yesterday due to the weather.
With three club matches now remaining this year, Paul Bray cannot be caught and is our club champion for 2022. Congratulations Paul.
(31/10/22) Many a day growing up on Hayling in the 80's would involve collecting slipper limpets from the beach, salting them down in jam jars ready for the next storm.
The windy conditions over the weekend washed up a decent amount of slipper limpet so decided to go old school by collecting some bait for a quick dawn session before work.
No big bass - but did manage a few schoolies and a first whiting of the winter season.
(23/10/22) We had a lucky break in the weather for our October beach match (22nd) on Hayling. Looked ideal conditions to see a bass or two but instead congers were on the feed with a couple of sizeable fish amongst the small straps. Dogs and bream made up the rest of the weights
(30/09/22) Pout, bream and mackerel were the main catches for our annual species hunt (Sunday 25th Sept) but we did get a few surprises including this three bearded rockling for Andy Summers
(14/09/22) We joined the numerous pleasure anglers down on Eastney beach for our Sept match (10th). Plenty of fish were breaking the surface but not biting. A 3lb 2oz smoothound for Matt Saunders the highlight of a slow night
(01/09/22) With plenty of mackerel showing along our beaches it was no surprise that they dominated our August beach match (27th). The biggest fish was a mighty mackerel of 40cm - a new club record
(12/04/22) It was a very pleasant day for our April boat match (10th). Only a few early hounds showed but the rays were out in force and John Martin landed the fish of the day with this 9lb turbot - very nice !!
(12/04/22) Thanks to Kelley's Hero Charters we are back to being collected and dropped-off at the Hayling Ferry pontoon for the 2022 season
